Strategies for 2008-2012

Focus Area: Church Growth

• Goal 1: To increase the combined total attendance of the 10.00am Sunday Service by 15% annually. 50% of this increase to be new converts and 50% transfer of Christians.
• Goal 2: To increase the combined total attendance of the 6.30pm Sunday Service by 10% annually. 50% of this increase to be new converts and 50% transfer of Christians.
• Goal 3: To increase our Church Membership base by 10% annually.
• Goal 4: To perform 110 water baptisms by the end of 2012.
• Goal 5: To increase by 25% pa those who are involved in ministry service within the church.

Focus Area: Evangelism & Outreach

• Goal 6: To increase our presentation of the Gospel to a greater percentage of the City of Geelong by engaging in strategic evangelistic endeavours.
• Goal 7: To establish a Care Outreach arm of WPCC known as MPower Community Care by June 2008.

Focus Area: LIFE Groups

• Goal 8: To increase the adult attendance who are connected into a LIFE Group by growing at 15% pa.
• Goal 9: To have 24 LIFE Groups operating by the end of 2012 with an average of 8-9 people in each group.
• Goal 10: To train 24 LIFE Group Leaders by the end of 2012.
• Goal 11: To train 24 LIFE Group Apprentice Leaders by the end of 2012.
• Goal 12: To train six LIFE Group Coaches each giving pastoral leadership to a maximum of four Groups each (including their own) by the end of 2012.
• Goal 13: To produce our own interactive curriculum for all our LIFE Groups.

Focus Area: Prayer

• Goal 14: To establish a Prayer Ministry Department and to be fully functioning by July 2008.
• Goal 15: To establish 10 new Prayer Focus Groups by the end of 2012.
• Goal 16: To train 10 Prayer Focus Group Leaders by the end of 2012.

Focus Area: Discipleship / Leadership

• Goal 17: To create and establish a “Church Based Whole Life =Leadership Development Strategy” from a new Christian entry level through to Christian maturity outworked in Leadership service by July 2008.

Focus Area: Church Planting

• Goal 18: To plant 2 new churches by the end of 2012. The first by 30 June 2009 and the second by 31 December 2012.

Focus Area: Missions

• Goal 19: To send out 2 fulltime Missionaries to the mission field fully funded by WPCC by the end of 2012. The first by 30 June 2009 and the second by 31 December 2012.
• Goal 20: By 2012 have 6 short term Missions teams visiting overseas fields pa (1 x trip every 2 months).

Focus Area: Staffing

• Goal 21: To recruit a fulltime Children and Youth Pastor to fulfil the Vision and Objectives of the Children and Youth Ministry department of WPCC by January 2009.
• Goal 22: To recruit a fulltime Accounts Clerk to assist the Executive Assistant with the handling, data entry, filing and reporting of the WPCC finances by January 2010.
• Goal 23: To recruit a fulltime Congregational Care Pastor to fulfil the Vision and Objectives of the Congregational Care Team and the Small Group Ministry Department of WPCC by January 2010.
• Goal 24: To recruit a fulltime Receptionist to fulfil the front desk and general office duties as required by January 2011.
• Goal 25: To recruit a fulltime Office Manager by January 2012 to oversee the operations of the Church Office and Administration.

Focus Area: Finance

• Goal 26: To increase the General Monthly Missions Offering by 10% annually.
• Goal 27: To increase the giving base (tithes) by 10% annually.

Focus Area: Property Development

• Goal 28: To build an Administration block to house our office functions and use the existing office area for Children’s programmes and the Auxilliary Hall as a permanent dining area by 31 December 2012.

Focus Area: Counselling

• Goal 29: To initiate and run an accredited Christian counselling ministry within the church by 31 December 2012.

Focus Area: Hospitality

• Goal 30: To form a Hospitality team that looks after visitors, introduces them to appropriate people within the church and ensures they are followed up and integrated into the life of the church; by 1 July 2008.
